Volunteer With Us - Information for Dental Professionals

Outreach Volunteers - We need dentists and hygienists to help provide limited visual examinations at Saturday events and at schools. 3-4 hours of your time can help us tremendously.

Dental Assistance: Our bi-lingual Spanish RDA assists volunteer dentists with all procedures.

Volunteer Suggested Schedule for Dentists and Hygienists: You chose your schedule! We have flexibility so that you do not feel overwhelmed with fulfilling the commitment. Please let us know what days and times you prefer and remember that these days are flexible and can be changed when necessary.

Restorative Work Examples: The Clinic provides all dental supplies. Examples of restorative procedures performed at the clinic are exams, x-rays, restorative (amalgam and composite), pulpotomy, extractions, and stainless steel crowns. Patient needs can be matched with individual comfort levels of the dentists who serve.

Hygiene Program: Two college Hygiene Programs provide students who perform hygiene services 3 days per week. This robust hygiene program allows dentists to focus on needed restorative work. Additionally, we welcome experienced hygienists!

To Start Volunteering: We need your Application or CV, Background Release, Medical Release, Insurance Information, TB Test results, DEA card copy, CPR card copy.

Make a Difference! Our dentists and dental hygienists conduct free dental screenings, preventive educational programs, dental treatment on-site, and limited treatments at community centers, health fairs and school locations. Emergencies such as infections, broken teeth and painful abscesses are all common problems that impact a child's ability to sit in class and learn. These all prevent children from healthy living. It is our goal to identify dental problems in their earliest stages, to prevent emergencies whenever possible, and to complete as many treatment plans. Our goal for volunteers is to make your service to the Clinic a satisfying experience while providing a valuable and much needed service to the community. Please call for a tour and to discuss consideration of your volunteering with the Clinic.
